A VPS is a Virtual Private Server. It is commonly used for web hosting and services however in this case here, you can use it to either run an extra bot for another account, or your main account if your computer cannot handle it or a few other reasons.
Now you cannot just pick any VPS either, it needs to meet some requirements just like anything else does. For example, you’ll need to run Windows Server 2012, and not 2008 as it is not supported due to different requirements necessary. You’ll also want to meet a minimum amount of memory and CPU specs too. Such as hopefully 2 cores and at least 2GB of memory (more is better though).
You won’t be finding any good or useful VPS’s for free though because it costs money for this hardware and the resources necessary to run and maintain them too. So without a credit card to try one of the few compatible trials out there such as the Google one, or without buying your own server monthly, you probably won’t be able to take advantage of this.
But you might not actually need a VPS since you don’t know what one is to begin with. You can still use your own computer to bot on, if your specs can handle it.
There is no advantage or difference to using a VPS over say your computer.
